All information for our 2 day Street Dance event in Blackpool. Please see all timings, age categories and other useful info to help you plan your time with us!

We can’t tell you how excited we are to see you all at our first weekender event since 2019! We always have such a brilliant time at this competition and are really looking forward to bringing you all together for 2 days of dancing & fun in sunny Blackpool!!!!

Please see below the time schedule for both days, age categories for solos (note this may have changed slightly to the original programme now that we have processed the entries) and other useful info to help you plan your time with us.

First of all, here are the timings and running order for both days…

Saturday 6th May

12.20pm- Teacher access to room

12.30pm- Doors open for dancers & spectators

1pm- Workshop all levels

Warm up for solos & trios/quads

2.15pm- Trios/quads for all ages
Awards of trios/ quads

3.15pm- All freestyle solo events for dancers age 11 years & under in class members, beginners & intermediate level
Awards of above freestyle events

4.30pm- Advanced freestyle solos for all ages and parents freestyle solo
Awards of above freestyle events

5pm- All freestyle solo events for dancers age 12 years & over in class members, beginners & intermediate level
Awards of above freestyle events

6.30pm
-Tops of class members

-Elite all stars (tops of advanced)

6.45pm- Little & Large/ Parent & Child Fun Duos

Sunday 7th May

9am- Teachers access to room
9.10am- Doors open for dancers & spectators
9.30am- Workshop 1 aimed at beginner/ easy intermediate level (note additional workshop at 12pm, see below)

10.30am- All younger team events in the following order
7 years and under beginner
9 years and under beginner
11 years and under beginner
9 years and under intermediate
11 years and under intermediate
Awards of all team events

11.45pm- Set routines 1-3 for all ages
Awards of above set routines

1.30pm- Set routines 4-6 for all ages
Awards of above set routines
3.30pm- Tops of all set routines

4pm- Duos for all ages (note advanced duos will be towards the end so no earlier than 4.45pm)

5.30pm- Mixed Dance School Duo (note we will do a warm up for this first and help people to partner up etc

6.15pm- House Battle x 2

Approximate finish time- 7.30/8pm

*** Workshop 2- At 12- 12.45pm on Sunday there will be an extra workshop aimed at hard inter/advanced level in Arena 1 whilst set routines 1-3 are running in the main ballroom. Dancers doing set routines 1-3 are encouraged to do the morning workshop.

Finally please see some other useful bits of info we think you will find useful…

Food & drink policy– The venue allow people to bring packed lunches inside. Please help us to look after this room by clearing away and rubbish before you leave. There will be hot food available to purchase in the venue as well as a bar & tuck shop.

Wristbands– Please have your wristbands on and fastened securely before entering the building. Lost or damaged wristbands will not be replaced and will have to be repurchased. Photographs of wristbands left at home and teachers vouching for bands being purchased will not be accepted. If you remove your wristband, you will not be permitted to re enter the ballroom. Tickets will be available on the door at the door price (£25 for single day bands & £45 for weekend bands) for spectators only that are part of a dance school booked on to the event. All dancers must be entered in advance for this competition and we will not be accepting entries on the day of the event.

Photo/video policy- A reminder that you are permitted to take photographs and videos of your own dancers whilst they are performing. If anyone objects to this, please see us prior to the start of the event. During the team events however, only one nominated person is allowed to video the team dancing which is someone the teams’ teacher is aware of. Nobody else should be videoing at this point.

Allocated seating- All seating will be reserved clearly with your dance school name.

Merchandise– Our stall will be located in the foyer of the ballroom.

Parking- The wintergardens does not have onsite public parking. However there is a large multi-storey car park across from one entrance to Wintergardens (Hounds Hill car park). There is also open air parking on aidalaide street which is round the back of the venue as well as lots of other parking options closeby. Please check closing times of any car park you decide to use.
