- Please note that anyone that is being dropped off on Royal Armouries Drive will need to ensure they are following the road signs and using the designated drop off zones. There is to be no stopping on double yellow lines, or the pedestrian crossing, otherwise you may be subjected to fine.
- We are not liable for any guests receiving parking fees if they park or stop in incorrect places due to the land being owned by a 3rd party.
Emergency Evacuation Procedure
In the event of a building evacuation venue staff will take the lead and give directions.
The fire assembly points are located by the Tiltyard wall, opposite the Express by Holiday Inn, denoted by green staff/visitor assembly point notices.
The fire alarm can be raised a number of ways –
- Break glass
- Smoke and heat detectors
The alarm is linked to ADT whom in turn alert the fire brigade to attend.
On raising the alarm the following coded message will sound throughout the building
ATTENTTION PLEASE, A FIRE HAS BEEN REPORTED, PLEASE LEAVE THE BUILDING AS QUICKLY AND QUIETLY AS POSSIBLE BY THE NEAREST EXIT
Venue staff will assist in the opening of all fire exits to ensure a safe exit. Please vacate the building as calmly and quickly as is safe to do so.
Do not attempt to re-enter the venue unless instructed by the on-site staff or the attending fire officers. No access will be permitted until the Duty Manager or the attending officers give full site safety clearance.
If you are a responsible adult accompanying an event participant and it is safe to do so, please try to locate your dance school lead person at the assembly point to let them know that you have safely evacuated the building.
Changing Facilities
Dancers are strictly not permitted to change in the ballroom or the corridors unless they are wearing a base layer (leotard, shorts, or crop top). If anyone needs to change during their time with us, both male and female changing rooms will be clearly signposted. Dancers of school age or younger must be accompanied by an adult or a chaperone while changing. Please ask a member of the OTB team if you are unsure where these are located.
It is strictly prohibited to take photos or videos in this area.
Changing in public areas is not permitted at our events and our staff will monitor this throughout the day.
First Aid
Should anyone require medical assistance at any time during their visit, please alert any of our staff or venue staff. There will be multiple first aiders available throughout the event.
Food & Drink Policy
Packed lunches are permitted to be brought inside the ballroom but can we kindly ask everyone to clear away any rubbish before they leave. Please don’t bring hot takeaway food or drink inside. There will be a tuck shop available selling snacks, hot & cold drinks.
